Storage solutions can often be created by repurposing items. During organizing sessions, I always try to first use the things my clients already own to store and organize their belongings. There are many household items and pieces of furniture that can be reused in creative and innovative ways. Here are some ways my organizing clients have repurposed items to create storage in their home:
A tissue box was reused to store recycled plastic grocery bags in a kitchen pantry.
In this photo, my client reused an old bathroom towel rod. He placed it in the garage to hold a skate board.
Another client reused a yard tool sorter, intended for rakes, to store her son’s hockey sticks.
In this photo, my client repurposed an over the door shoe organizer to store her scarves inside her closet door.
These are just some examples of ways the items you already own may be reused to create organized systems in your home. What creative ways have you repurposed household items for storage?
